Little miracle baby!
Little Steve had an MRI yesterday and today mom and dad had their pow wow with the doctors. And he got an almost clean bill of health. This is what my brother said:
"Just met with the neurologist about Little Steve's MRI. There was some minor brain damage which may necessitate physical or speech therapy later on, but he may not need any therapy at all. They're going to transfer him back to Walnut Creek tomorrow or Friday. He'll be able to come home when he is able to nurse properly, which may be 1 - 3 weeks."
This is fantastic news! Pretty much the doctors have said that if there is brain damage that is lasting then early intervention programs should be able to work through any issues. This really is a miracle considering that last week when he was born the Dr used phrases like "if there are any brain waves" and pretty much preparing Steve and Rachael for a little one with very high needs, if he made it at all. Prayers, blessings, heaven watching over, and Little Steve being the amazing little guy has lead to this little miracle babe.

Wow! That boy's got an important future ahead of him. The world needs fighters like him. I'm so happy for all of you.
Hallelujah!
The same day you posted about him one of the girls who had just moved out of our family ward had the same thing happen to her boy with meuconium!
I've kept both families in my prayers and I'm so glad to hear such great news for him!
